PJ opnieuw International Master kampioen

After two days of sailing, Mother Nature did not cooperate on the last day of the 2017 International Masters and Paul-Jon Patin successfully defended his 2016 title. Conditions were challenging with light winds and large wind shifts. Short courses made for tight racing, exciting mark roundings and 6 different race winners.
An aggressive fleet caused many recalls and even the flying of the dreaded black flag. Several familiar faces rounded up the top 10 with 2016 US National Master Dan Norton finishing second, Hank Saurage third, USSCA president Rich Chapman finishing fourth and class treasurer Sonya Dean finished 9th as the top female.
A surprise return to Sunfish racing from 2 class legends included 3-time World Champion Donnie Martinborough from the Bahamas (5th place) and 5-time NAs champion Jeff Linton from Tampa (6th place). Thanks to the Charlotte Harbor Community Sailing Center for hosting and providing a great venue.
