Curacaos Kampioenschap 2020

Adding a 6th title to his collection last weekend Schneider won the Curacao Championship, without even one moment of weakness. A championship under rare weather conditions with almost constant very gentle wind that changed direction every race, with the exception of the start of Race # 7 when all the wind of the whole week was poured over the fleet in fifteen minutes. John van Mourik ruled in the B-class, growing every race even finishing in 4th place in the last race, well ahead of a number of A class sailors. While the most beautiful example of talent and class belonged to Koen van der Gulik who managed to not only win all races in his first C-class sunfish performance, becoming the Youth Champion, but also beat the entire A and B fleet in the last race. Sadly enough due to the Covid 19 measures the prize giving ceremony had to be cancelled.
