South American Championship – Day 1
24 Competitors from 6 countries (Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bermuda, Dominican Republic and Ecuador) have arrived to Manta in preparation for the event. Today theparticipants completedregistration and the boats were assigned. At 14:00 hours they had the opportunity of testing the sailing area, with 13-16 knots of wind and a couple of whales playing around.
The opening ceremony took place at 20:30 hours with the presence of the local authorities. Manta has great sailing conditions and all competitors are exited with theexcellent organizationprepared by the host.
